We are very happy to put up this unique initiative for tourism under the “Nayi Manzelein naye rahein” program of the department which aims to take tourism and allied activities to the unexplored beautiful areas of our state, in association with HASTPA who have done good and pioneering work over the years to promote this very exciting adventure sport in the Indian Himalayas.
The Event will showcase our beautiful areas and countryside to the world and would help us in promoting this exciting adventure sport which has immense potential in the state, Said Devesh Kumar Principal Secretary Tourism and Civil Aviation.
Himachal and its terrain provides a great base for a sport like mountain biking. We have seen how the sport has grown so well in our state. This MTB championship will be the first of its kind aimed at identifying the best cycling routes in the beautiful hinterland of our state and also the cycling talent in the country thus making Himachal one of the favorite destinations for mountain biking in the country.
We are seeing a great response from all across India and Himachal and I’m sure this will be a big chance for all these young cyclists to come forward and be a part of history of cycling growth in the state. “Said Mohit Sood Founder and president HASTPA
