State awarded 1st position amongst the Hilly States in the implementation of CCTNS

Shimla. The Himachal Pradesh has been awarded 1st position amongst the Hilly States in the implementation of Crime and Criminal Tracking Network & Systems (CCTNS).

Today, the Conference on Good Practices in Crime and Criminal Tracking Network & Systems (CCTNS) & Interoperable Criminal Justice System (ICJS) was held through online platform at National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB), New Delhi and announcement for the 1st position to Himachal Pradesh in the implementation of CCTNS was made.

The Conference was inaugurated by Minister of State (Home). The Conference was attended by Senior Police Officers of all States/UTs.

The agenda of this Conference is usage of CCTNS & ICJS in Prevention, Investigation and Tracking of Crimes, Good Practices being adopted by States/UTs in the implementation of CCTNS and ICJS Project, Development of Mobile Apps for Police and Citizens, Citizen Services and Capacity Building.

The award for Best Performing State amongst Hilly States was presented to Himachal Pradesh virtually through Sh. Sanjay Kundu, DGP, HP and Dr Atul Fulzele, Nodal Officer, CCTNS, HP for effective implementation of CCTNS/ ICJS Project in the State.

This is a National Level award for Hilly States and Himachal Pradesh has been awarded as best performing State amongst the ten Hilly States for the second year in succession.

There are 22 different parameters/criteria like Hardware/Software deployment, Network Connectivity, Data Migration, Capacity Building etc. to decide this award.

The Governor, Himachal Pradesh, Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar has congratulated the entire Himachal Pradesh Police for the spectacular performance in CCTNS.

The Chief Minister, Himachal Pradesh, Jai Ram Thakur has also congratulated the DGP HP, Sanjay Kundu and his team for the stellar performance of Himachal Pradesh Police in the field of CCTNS at the National Level.

This will boost the confidence of HP Police in using the technology in day to day policing.
