Shimla. PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry has lauded the efforts of the Union and State Governments for resumption of the economic activity in the State.
Arun Rawat, Co-Chairman Himachal Pradesh State Chapter of PHDCCI, in a press statement, said that the economic package announced by the Government of India will give relief to the crisis ridden industrial sector of our economy.
He said that the economic package will provide a fresh lease of life to the MSME units, which constitute 95% of the industry in Himachal Pradesh.
Rawat said that the industry has voiced its concerns and opinions on revival of industry during the meeting of all industry associations of the State, called by the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh on 18th May 2020.
Rawat represented PHDCCI in the meeting. He said that the industry is struggling with many issues related to liquidity, manpower, mobility and low demand.
He said that the Chief Minister patiently listened to the representatives of various industry associations of the State and assured that his Government is committed to provide all possible assistance to the industry for its proper revival.
Rawat while speaking during the meeting said that the benefit of the EPF scheme under Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana should be extended to the Handloom and Handicrafts Sector in the State by relaxing the condition of 100 employees.
