Cabinet: 9897 PTA, PAT and PARA teachers will be regularlised

Shimla 25 June, 2020. The State Cabinet in its meeting held here today under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur gave in principle approval to regularize the services of PTA, PAT and PARA teachers, which will benefit about 6500 PTA, 3300 PAT and 97 PARA teachers engaged in various government schools.

It gave its nod for approval of draft Scheme for Interest Subvention on Working Capital Loan for Hospitality Industry to revive the tourism industry in the State which has been adversely affected due to Covid-19 pandemic.

Under the Scheme tourism units in the State paying GST upto Rs. one crore would be entitled for maximum loan of Rs. 50 lakh whereas for tourism units paying GST above Rs. one crore and upto Rs. three crore for atleast one year ending 31st March, 2020 would be entitled for loan upto Rs. 75 lakh. Units above Rs. three crore would be eligible for loan of Rs. one crore.

Small registered tourism units would also be eligible for maximum loan of Rs. 15 lakh. This loan period would be for four years with interest subvention of 50 percent each for first two years.

The Cabinet also decided that the Transport Department would draft an
interest subvention scheme for working capital on the analogy of Tourism Department.

The Cabinet gave its approval to enhance support price of apple under Market Intervention Scheme (MIS) by 50 paise from Rs. 8 to Rs. 8.50 per kg for the year 2020. Under this scheme about 1.50 lakh MT apple would be procured from 20th July to 15th November, 2020 for which 283 procurement centres would be opened in different parts of the State as per demands of apple growers .

It also accorded its consent to procure seedling mango, achari mango and grafted mango at the rate of Rs. 8.50 per kg under the MIS which will be operative from 1st July to 31st August, 2020.

Similarly Cabinet also gave its approval to provide support price of Rs. 7.50 per kg for ‘B’ grade Kinnow, Malta and orange and Rs. 7 per kg for ‘C’ grade kinnow, malta and orange.

The procurement price of galgal had been fixed at Rs. 6 per kg under MIS. This scheme will be operative from 21st November, 2020 to 15th February, 2021 The support prices would ensure remunerative prices to the fruit growers in the State.

The Cabinet gave its approval to guidelines for providing assistance for promotion of cultivation of aromatic plants and their processing under the new Scheme ‘Mehak’ launched by the State Government to double the income of the farmers cultivating the aromatic plants.

It gave its consent to fill up 500 posts of Junior Office Assistant (IT) on contract basis in Education Department through Himachal Pradesh Staff Selection Commission Hamirpur.

The Cabinet gave its approval to create and fill up 42 posts of different categories in Himachal Pradesh State Human Rights Commission.

It also accorded its consent to create one post of Convener-cum-Advisor to Himachal Pradesh Nasha Niwaran Board under Excise and Taxation Department to tackle and overcome the menace of drug trafficking and drug abuse in the State.

The Cabinet decided to create and fill up four posts of different categories in newly created office of Prosecution Department attached with Additional District and Session Judge Court at Sarkaghat in Mandi district for its smooth functioning.

It decided to give extension for present tenders for supply of foodgrains and essential commodities for the tribal and inaccessible areas of the State for the year 2020-21 on existing rates and on same terms and conditions to facilitate the people, keeping in view the fact that these areas remain cut off for a period of 4 to 7 months due to heavy snowfall in winter season.

The Cabinet gave its approval to open Primary Health Centre at Gram Panchayat Lech in district Chamba alongwith creation of three posts of different categories to man this Centre.

It also decided to create and fill up two posts of Perfusionist in Department of CTVS in Dr. Rajendra Prasad Government Medical College, Tanda to provide better heart care facility to the people of the area.

It also gave its approval to issue Letter of Intent in favour of M/s Hillthrill Agro Processers Private Limited for setting up of winery based on fruits at Badhu in Chachiot tehsil of Mandi district.

The Cabinet also decided to issue Letter of Intent in favour of M/s Alcobrew Distilleries India Private Limited for setting up of distillery unit at village Kandla in district Solan with an investment of Rs. 65.39 crore.

It gave its approval to create and fill up five posts of different categories in newly opened Sub Division of Public Works Department at Dera Baba Rudru (Basal) in district Una for proper functioning of the Sub Division.

The Cabinet decided to convert the Project Implementation Unit Sub Division Dhanotu in Mandi district into Sub Division of Public Works Department (Building and Roads) alongwith creation of four posts of different categories.

It decided to enhance the award amount of War Jagir from existing Rs. 5000 to Rs. 7000 per annum to the families of war veterans.

The Cabinet gave its approval to upgrade Government Middle School Bhud and Government High School Rampur in Solan district to Government High School and Government Senior Secondary School respectively alongwith creation and filling up of 10 posts of different categories.

It also decided to open Primary School at Kelua in Haroli Vidhan Sabha area of Una district to facilitate the children of the area.

The Cabinet also gave its approval for guidelines for installation of permanent structure of Bamboo or Steel for Anti-Hail Nets under ‘Krishi Utpaad Sarankshan (Anti Hail Net) Yojna, (KUSHY) for the year 2020-21 to facilitate the farmers of the State under assistance of 50 percent would be provided to all the categories of farmers.

It decided to extend the contract period for six months from 1st May, 2020 to 31st October, 2020 of M/s Tata Consultancy Services till the finalization of tender process for the selection of new System Integrator by HP State Electronics Development Corporation for implementation of HP VAT-IT Project of Excise and Taxation Department.
