Shimla. A cultural feast marked the freshers’ party & Oath taking ceremony `Novato Fiesta’ organised at Shimla Nursing college with great fervour and enthusiasm on 17 April to welcome the students of first year of M.Sc (N), P.B.SC ( N), B.SC (N) & GNM students.
The Theme for the day was NOVATA FIESTA, Party for new beginners.
Managing Director, Shimla Nursing college, Mohit Sood presided over the program as a chief guest.
Principal , Dr Krishna Chauhan Shimla Nursing college, honoured & welcomed the chief guest and others.
The program commenced with a traditional lamp lighting ceremony which was followed by ‘Gayatri Manta ‘and dance on ‘Ganesh Vandana’.
Oath taking ceremony for New comers (MSc Nursing, PBSc,BSc (N) & GNM)was administered by Ritika Soni, Ass. Professor, Shimla nursing college to perform their services with loyalty, honesty, & compassion to Nursing profession.
Various young dancers performed cultural activities such as Rajasthani, Bhangra, Gujrati solo dance etc leaving the audience spellbound. Melodious songs presented by the students , was a musical feast for the audience.
The most awaited moment of Ms Fresher 2022 was announced & crowning ceremony was held by chief Guest, Mohit sood, Principal , Dr Krishna Chauhan and Ritika Soni.
The results were given below in terms of;

( P. B.SC 1st year)
2nd Runner up :
Naina( P. B.SC 1st year)
Ms Beautiful Smile: Sonali ( GNM 1st year)
Ms Personality: Tarangna ( GNM1st year).
Last but not the least, most inspirational words were spoken by the chief guest & in his address appreciated the efforts of the students , participants, teachers & welcomed the new beginners.
Also encouraged about bright future or career opportunities in nursing Globally. As Nursing is a noble profession & should have expanded role.
Finally the program was ended with Vote of Thanks by Ritu Rilta, Asst. Professor, Shimla nursing college.
