Shimla. Chief Minister has thanked the Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitaraman and Minister of State for Finance and Cooperate Affairs Anurag Thakur for releasing 205 crore of GST compensation amount for the State and for announcing Rs 450 crore long term interest free loan for 50 years to fund capital works in the state.
The Union Finance Minister made this announcement on loans in a press conference held at New Delhi today.
Chief Minister said that the GST Compensation amount and loans term loan to fund capital works in the State would go a long way in accelerating the pace of development in the State.
He said that GST was implemented for July 2017 and since than the GST collection has witnessed regular growth in the State.
He said that GST collection was being monitored at the highest level, laxity was not be tolerated in this regard.
Industries Minister Bikram Singh Thakur while participating in the GST Council meet through video conference from Shimla also thanked the Union Finance Minister for this announcement.
